Is Mediation Successful?
Research has shown – and our work supports this – that greater than 93% of all people who opt for mediation report that their cases were successfully resolved and that they did not have to return to court because the agreement broke down at a later date. Contrast this to litigated divorces and family disputes where 77% of litigants reported feeling dissatisfied with the process and ended up back in court because of a break-down in their agreements.
Putting aside statistics, for a moment – mediation is “successful” if all parties are willing to participate in the process and if all are open and honest about sharing their concerns. Only then can there be a true dialogue. And only then can we begin to help you negotiate a resolution that weighs everyone’s concerns fairly.
